I filmed the motion project already in December. My dancer is my cousin who was studying rhythmic for 12 years and we already had a chance to make some projects together in the past.
As suggested in my feedback from 1 semester I used gh4 camera 4 K to record her. I really like the final effect and I think I will use this camera in the future although I was hoping that the focus can be hold automatically.
1 Version:
2 Version:
Those videos are my first cut and I was mostly choosing the most interesting movements and playing with a rhythm. Later on we will be changing the music. The difference between first and second is that in the second I speed up the movements in some moments which fits the song, depending of the soundtrack I will be changing the speed etc.
ISADORA:
In the lecture we were exploring Isadora and I really like the range of possibilities which programs gives to users. For my video I want to double the dancer and add some bright colors. I was searching online for 'how to do it tutorial' and tried to copy the Isadora 'map' to my project.
Didn't really work out..

So I started trying by my self to find the effects which will work. And I actually found some
cool tools which allow to do similar effects - making colorful shadows, double dancer i a square, 3D effect etc.
Now I have just few more questions like how to make one effect go after another?
How to make effects move to the rytm?
Also Idk should I edit video first or add effects first..

I had a tutorial with Stefania and I could ask some questions and discover Isadora even more. I found out the effects I was planning to do were more of "Adobe After Effects" tools so I decided to just experiment and find what I like.
I spend like 4h searching and plugging one effects to another and I came up with some new stuff which I might use for a final version.
Here are the new Vimeo versions:
Pixel https://vimeo.com/317734130 - I mixed comic effect with 'distract' or something similar
BW comic and black and white and Circular screen - https://vimeo.com/317734949
https://vimeo.com/317735818 - and this is video with different effects I made
From all of it I will chose the one I like or try a bit more

STUDIO ARTIST
I also tried to make effect in Studio Artist but I didn't like the effects as much as in Isadora.

technical issues
Today I was having a meeting with Stefania as I had some problems with saving the file.
The stick didn't want to work and I found ot I need to do registration from the beginning in order to export the file. Then I figured out that Isadora does't export the file - it's recording the screen. Why then not just record the screen from Quick Time Player? I figured it's also an option but later it needs to be framed etc in Premiere Pro in order to cut the background.
I think that's the way how I will do it.
I think it's good idea to keep all screen shots of work in some folder so you have your "recipes" of certain effect in one place. Other tutors said the same.

Mixing the music
Today I've started mixing the music for the video. I slowed down the track in Adobe Audition and added some low pitch sounds and adjust the base to maximum. I know we supposed to have mainly rhythm in the song but I didn't want to get ride of base cause I think it's suits my project a lot so instead of leaving high pitch rhythmic sounds I left the base. I think it's sounds good.

Ps: The soundtrack of the music is a remix of originally Toccata i Fuga d-mall - J S Bach
FINAL VERSION OF THE VIDEO:
I choose the version in monochrome blue colour, even though I was consigning changing colours from blue to green to red etc in a middle of the video but I thought it may look too amateur.
As I already know how the effects will look like on the screen I edited the video in Premiere Pro again, especially so the effects can be more visible and effective.
LIVE CAPTURE WORKSHOP
I like the experience with Isadora live capture, it's allow to add the additional effects on someone dancing in the same time as the background. I think with a previously planned choreography and effects supporting the dancers the effect can be very impressive. Otherwise it will look a bit "messy", but it's just my opinion. It remind me of Beyonce famous Live Billboard video "Run the World".
