In last lectures we were exploring some work of artist who like making ‘conventional’ art to receive certain reactions from the audience, different than enthusiasm.
As we know in our generation everybody wants to watch 'quick&happy' stuff which are staying forgotten just after watching them.
We are looking for artists who like for example Christian Marclay (author of 'The Clock') will not let you leave their exhibition without second thought.

About the art:
Lately we have been also in Herbert Art Gallery with class and Museum in Coventry where we could explore and get inspiration for our next project.
To be honest nothing really surprise me there or gave me this 'unforgettable' feeling, however I enjoy it and some of the pictures were very good and had deeper meaning like - respond to criticism etc.
If it comes to my favorite kind of art, I would say I like surrealism, modernism and minimalism. The great example of this kind of art is Jam Sutton who is an English artist. In his work he is inspired by pop culture and his work is a collision of colour, culture and surrealism.
Jam Sutton:
The second artist who I admire is David LaChapelle - he is an American fine art/commercial photographer and music/film director.
He is best known for his photography, which often references art history and sometimes conveys social messages. His photographic style has been described as "hyper-real and slyly subversive" and as "kitsch pop surrealism"

Following that path I also very appreciate Salvador Dali who is one of the most recognized surrealists of all time. What interesting his pictures and designs are still use in the modern world, by companies designing perfumes, furniture, etc.

Next trip coming :
November 8, we will be visiting Tate Britain museum to see the Turner prize.
The Turner Prize is arguably Europe's most prestigious, and controversial, contemporary visual art award.
Damien Hurst, 'Mother and Child Divided' - a cow and a calf each cut in half and preserved in tanks of formaldehyde solution:

Kino - Good to see this and your influences. Please make sure you write up the London trip. You need to start a post for Dada also the footage you brought in was very impressive and had lots of possibilities. Well done. As you progress onto the other projects this term try keep a step guide the technical process with screen grabs and step guides to what you have done.
